Sheila Green, Quilt Mom, received the quilt July 13, 2004, and photographed it at her home.  “Free coupon” photos were distributed with the tickets. Posters were made for the shops to post and to travel with the quilt. Sheila made all of the deposits and kept financial records for the quilt.

The quilt was entered in the Nebraska State Fair in the “Quilting Bee Group Quilt-bed size” in August 2004 and won a 5th place ribbon.  The quilt traveled and tickets were sold within the state of Nebraska.  2,120 tickets were sold.

The drawing for the quilt was held May 9, 2005 at the LQG meeting. Mary Campbell Ghormley drew the winning ticket. The winner is Connie Phillips, Seward, NE.  Connie is a member of the Blue Valley and Nebraska State Quilt Guilds.  The winning ticket was purchased at the Blue Valley (Seward) Quilt Show.
